Step Chocks

Step chocks, long made of wood by fire departments all over the world are a FAST and EFFICIENT way of CRIBBING cars and other smaller vehicles.

NOW, TURTLE PLASTICS has introduced two larger step chocks to crib F-150 STYLE TRUCKS, SUVs, BUSSES, and LARGE TRUCKS ETC.

Giant Step Chock SC-3

This MONSTER is a favorite at training courses and extrication classes
because with a GIANT STEP CHOCK, and a wedge, one can crib
in seconds, which helps beat the Golden Hour!

Obviously, it will only fit in LARGE RESCUES, USAR TEAM TRUCKS and other large apparatuses.

We have also been told that it can be used as a GIANT WEDGE behind trench recue
panels.

Medium Step Chock

Introduced to fit almost all compartments, it can directly handle
many smaller SUVs and VANS.

ADDITIONALLY, mate it with two of our SUPER CRIBS laying flat on the
ground and you are back up to GIANT STEP height for F-150/SUV style.

Cribbing

Cribbing has been used in the FIRE and RESCUE industry, it seems like forever. Before Turtle Plastics came along, all cribbing was made of WOOD. It was bought for little or nothing at the local lumber yards and cut and nailed by firepersons in their “spare” time.

And guess what??????????? It worked most of the time and saved the lives of lots of people including their rescuers.

HOWEVER, LIKE MANY THINGS IN LIFE, THE EXPERTS, THE TRAINERS BEGAN TO ASK SOME QUESTIONS:

HOW SOON WILL THIS WOOD FAIL? Probably never but it has a 5 year, product replacement warranty and a 50 year, product replacement warranty on mold, rot and mildew.

DOES IT HAVE GAS, OIL OR OTHER CHEMICALS SOAKED INTO IT FROM PREVIOUS INCIDENTS? Impervious to all petro chemicals and bodily fluids.

DOES IT HAVE BLOOD FROM LAST NIGHTS ACCIDENT? Blood can be washed off.

COULD I GET A SPLINTER WHEN I AM USING IT? No splinters to begin with.

HOW STRONG IS IT? (I DON’T REALLY KNOW) Ask for our lab tests.
